Yes, you can. This is the importance of you as a lead generator always asking the customer before loading a referral customers personal detail on the Referral Trail platform. In the event that the referral customer forgets that they have provided you with consent, the SMS process confirming the consent protects you. When the referral customer receives the SMS, the customer will have the option to opt out. If the referral customer opt’s out, we will remove their details from the Referral Trail platform and place the customer on the platforms ‘DO NOT CONTACT’ list. We will also not send the referral customers details to any product provider to sell to.

Referral trail will negotiate with the company that does not pay for referrals as per the contract they have with the platform; however, this can affect Referral Trail’s ability to pay you for the sale. This can also take time to process, so it can result in delays on the payment of your referral fee.

10 quotes from 100 referrals are a 10% lead to quote ratio. Your act of loading 100 referrals will result in you being penalised. You will receive a penalty of fifty percent (50%) or half of your sales referral fee if you achieve under 40% lead to quote ratio. This is in place to ensure that lead generators do not load referrals of inferior quality. The referrals that are supplied to insurance companies cost the insurance companies money to process. The process cost can affect the company’s performance overall and impact the performance of other important referrals that the company works on. This can damage the relationship with Referral Trail and the product company. This can result in the insurance company cancelling the contract and will affect payment to other referrers on the Referral Trail platform.

One month’s payment or premium will be paid as referral fee for the sale concluded as a result of the referral customer that you have provided. This amount is not limited in value. No matter the monthly premium value, your referral fee will be one (1) of the monthly payments/premiums once the client has paid. Paid means that the payment is cashed with the product provider and meets the requirement to earn referral fee on that product.

Payments for sales are made based on the rules of the product referral fee. Some products have 2 months payments required to earn a referral fee and some products 1 month. This can change with other products in the future. In the event that on (1) months insurance premium payment is required to earn referral fee; Referral Trail will invoice the insurance company for the referral fee and pay you as soon as the insurance company pays the referral fee invoice. This payment is dependent on the product company paying Referral Trail. If the product company pays Referral Trail late or not at all, this can affect the payment of referral fee for successfully paid for sales. As can be expected, this takes time. If you are expecting to be paid immediately after your referral pays the product company, this will not be the case. The company needs to confirm that payment has been received and your client has not stopped the debit. The company will then be invoiced by Referral Trail and when the product company pays Referral Trail, then Referral Trail, will pay you.
