STEP 1

Registration

Click on the ‘Register’ button or go to https://app.referraltrail.com/. You will be directed to the Referral Trail registration screen. Click on the green words ‘Request Access’ which is next to the question, ‘New to our platform?’ under the ‘Login’ button. Upon clicking on ‘Request access,’ the platform will open up a form with the statement ‘The adventure starts here’. This form requires you to insert your title, name, surname, loader status, phone, I.D. number and e-mail address. On loader status, if you an independent user, you will select ‘individual,’ if not, you will select ‘organisational’. It is important to note, that you will have access to read the terms of use and when you are comfortable, you can select the box to confirm you agree with the terms of use. The completion of this form is the first step on your journey to becoming a user on the Referral Trail Platform. Upon completion of the ‘Request access’ form, you will receive e-mails to the e-mail address you have provided with instructions to confirm your e-mail address and create a username and password. Please note, you may receive this e-mail in your junk/spam e-mail box. Kindly check the junk/span e-mail box for the e-mail confirmation. Should you not confirm your e-mail address, you will not have access to the platform.

STEP 2

Access The Platform

The administrator will approve your user request and once you are approved you will receive an e-mail confirming your approval. You will log in using your email address and password that you setup. Once you log in you will have the ability to refer customers for different insurance products. It is important to note that you will need to capture your bank account details before you are able to capture a referral. Please note that your bank account details are safe and secure and is required to facilitate payment to you for successful referrals.

STEP 3

Start Referring!

Obtain consent from the referee to capture their information on Referral Trail. Capture a minimum of 4 mandatory fields. These are the referee's Name, Surname, Phone number and Insurance product required. Capture additional referee information if available to assist the insurance company with the sales process. Once the lead has been submitted the referee will receive an SMS confirming that you have referred them to Referral Trail. The referee will have the option to accept or decline the referral. If the referee chooses to decline the referral by selecting the "NO" option, then Referral Trail will not submit the referral to our insurance partners. If the referee chooses to accept the referral by either selecting the "YES" option or not declining the referral, then Referral Trail will submit the referral to our insurance partners. One of our insurance partners will phone the referee and assist them to obtain a quote for the referred product. You the referrer will be updated on the progress of the referral on the Referral Trail platform by simply clicking on "My Leads". On a successful sale, the insurance company will debit the referee's bank account for the charges of the product they purchased. Upon two full cash payments from the referee to the insurance company, Referral Trail will invoice the insurance company to acquire your referral reward. The insurance company will process this invoice over the period of a month and make payment to Referral Trail. Once the insurance company makes payment to Referral Trail, this referral reward will be paid to you within 72 hours of receiving payment for your referral. It is important to note, if your referral does not pay the insurance company two full premiums for the product sold to them, you cannot be paid for the referral. Should you wish to receive your referral reward, the referee must pay two cashed payments to the insurance company.
